Arlington County, VA is first LEED platinum community | 50+ years of smarter growth

Arlington, VA—(Dec. 19, 2017)—Arlington County has been named the first LEED Platinum community under USGBC's newly created LEED for Communities program. Arlington’s Platinum certification recognizes the county’s leadership in creating a sustainable and resilient urban environment that has long-proven success in reducing greenhouse gas emissions; managing stormwater; ensuring economic prosperity; and focusing on education, affordable housing, health and safety for residents and businesses.
