More than ever we live in a world where changes to the economy, society and the environment are so fundamental that the past is no longer a reliable guide to the future. Climate change exemplifies this. Whilst we know that it is vital to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, past behaviour means that some climate change is inevitable. This means that we must assess the risks that we face and decide what to do about them. Government is working closely with key sectors of the UK economy to ensure that they are resilient to the impacts of future climate change. What are the priorities for the National Adaptation Programme and how will it be delivered.
