Dogs Trust Shrewsbury Rehoming Centre About the building The building assessed was the main rehoming building, encompassing a reception area, training barn and kitchen, offices, vet suite, sponsor dog and rehoming kennels, at the newly rebuilt Dogs Trust centre in Shrewsbury. Dogs Trust wanted a comfortable environment for the dogs waiting to be rehomed, in a building that would also be highly efficient yet simple to run. Aiming to achieve BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ from the outset was seen as a good way of combining occupant wellbeing and general sustainability, with energy and water efficiency.
