‘The Green Incubator is designed to provide managed work space to nurture new and growing businesses from the environmental and green sectors. South Tyneside Council wanted to create a building whose sustainable design reflects its function, a facility that is “green inside and out”, with a design philosophy and practical benefits that will attract tenants to our new facility. Creating a sustainable development is an important part of our wider regeneration programme – attaining a BREEAM Outstanding award gives us internationally recognised accreditation that demonstrates we are doing just that.’
