The AECB wishes to develop a new service to help its members take advantage of the growing market for energy efficiency retrofitting services. It is designed to overcome the shortfalls in The Green Deal, as currently envisioned by the UK Government. The AECB is uniquely placed to create a programme, provisionally named CarbonLite Retrofit, that will benefit participants through a series of support modules: encompassing training, assessment, design and technical detailing, contracts, design and onsite quality assurance, evidence collation and a form of project certification (for quality assurance and financing purposes) , monitoring and knowledge dissemination.
