I like to cook. But when I cook, I tend to make messes. One thing that is really tough for me is cleaning up my kitchen in an eco-friendly way that also disinfects surfaces. If I cook meat, I know there have got to be some germs on at least one kitchen surface. If I'm cracking eggs on my counter for breakfast, I know I’m leaving behind some residue. So how can I clean my countertops without introducing harsh chemicals into my home? This DIY cleaner is gentle enough to avoid harming surfaces and includes ingredients I can pronounce, but is also strong enough to clean up after my raw chicken disasters. My counters are made of quartz stone, which also means they appreciate gentle cleansing on their end. Nothing abrasive should be used, and chemicals can deteriorate the surface.
