Those at the top take the lead on sustainability Date released: 20 Nov 2012 Chief Executives and Managing Directors from some of the UK’s top companies, including Marks & Spencer, E.ON and Network Rail, have gathered to examine how green growth can transform their businesses and the UK economy and to challenge the built environment sector to take ownership of sustainability. Developed by the UK Green Building Council (UK-GBC) and The University of Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership, the two-day seminar provided 30 leaders with the unique opportunity to hear from some of the world’s leading speakers and to to work collaboratively with like-minded figures to fully investigate the commercial value of sustainability, the role of regulation, collaboration and behavioural change in the transition to a green economy, and the opportunities arising from a business st...
