Ohio Schools to Annually Save $120,000: Finneytown Local Schools launches energy-saving upgrades to save money...

Leaders at Cincinnati's Finneytown Local Schools are undertaking infrastructure upgrades to Whitaker and Brent elementary schools and the secondary campus buildings, which serve grades eight through 12, to increase energy and operational efficiency, reduce energy costs and improve the teaching and learning environment. Upgrades are expected to save $120,000 a year and generate $50,000 in one-time rebates. “These improvements help the district better fulfill its most important mission—educating our students—while improving the teaching and learning environment and reflecting the district’s commitment to environmental stewardship,” said Jim Acton, director of business and academic services for Finneytown Local Schools.
