As the end of the year approaches here is a whistle-stop tour of the reasons why, with your support and hard work, we are making a difference. We couldn’t do it without you, and you couldn’t do it without one another. UK-GBC is the only membership organisation campaigning for sustainability across the whole built environment – our homes, our workplaces – led by business for business. We are part of a global movement that has grown from 26 national Green Building Councils when we started here in the UK 5 years ago, to over 90 today . During that time, sustainability has shot up the agenda, despite the economic climate. Our members span the entire value and supply chain of the industry – from materials producers and product manufacturers to major clients and investors, from local authorities to national government agencies and NGOs.
