Thousands of climate action advocates, Green Building Councils, communities, businesses and non-profits on five continents are turning up the volume on the need for all buildings to be net zero carbon buildings by 2050, as part of the 8th annual World Green Building Week . Led by the World Green Building Council and their member councils in more than 70 countries, World Green Building Week aims to elevate the potential for green buildings, which currently contribute around 30 per cent of global greenhouse gas emissions (and up to 50 per cent of emissions in major cities), to be a powerful solution in the fight against climate change.
