Lighting Manufacturer Signs Lease for Pre-Built LEED-CI Suite at 112 West 34th Street: W&H Properties has signed...

North American lighting behemoth Leviton Manufacturing recently leased a 5000-square-foot, high-end, pre-built office suite at W&H Properties’ 112 West 34th Street , across the street from Macy’s between Broadway and Seventh Avenue. Located on the building’s 19th floor, the suite was constructed for an incoming tenant’s LEED for Commercial Interiors application. (No word on whether Leviton intends to proceed with such an effort). The 750,000-square-foot 112 West 34th Street is a 26-story, pre-war property that has Garment District roots, formerly serving as a manufacturing facility for children’s apparel. It recently received an $80 million, interior and exterior renovation that resulted in a 2010 Energy Star award from EPA. The project included a variety of energy-efficient upgrades to the building’s infrastructure, as well as new entrances at both West 33rd and 34th Stre...
