[Prod/Sustainablity] Scent Free Policy and LEED: Will It Contribute to Innovation in Design?

However, I would be hesitant whether this strategy is strong enough to earn an ID credit in the 2009 rating systems. To earn an Innovation in Design point, it should be a significant strategy with measurable environmental benefit. I think limiting the strategy to scent-free personal hygiene products might not be “significant” enough. You may want a more comprehensive occupant health strategy that reduces exposure to many kinds of toxins and builds awareness. Check out the pilot credits for Indoor Environmental Quality for ideas.
