Congratulations again to @AHMMArchitects for winning 2015 Stirling Prize (& fellow @UKGBC member @LendLeaseGroup)

AHMM, a UK-GBC member since 2007, picked up the UK’s most prestigious architecture prize at a special ceremony in London last night. The practice has been shortlisted for the award on three previous occasions. The transformation of the comprehensive girls’ school saw the creation of six new faculty buildings and two large cultural buildings, which are linked to original buildings designed by renowned 1950s/1960s architect Sir Leslie Martin. The judges praised the school for its low energy strategy, use of natural daylight and a range of teaching spaces from conventional classrooms to interactive open spaces, describing it as AHMM’s “masterpiece”.
