Heating in a cold climate - so many options by Kent Earle When I initially wrote this post over a year ago on our own blog (blueheronhaus.com) I really was not sure that the decision we had made was the best one. Now that we are living in the house, I'm happy to report that it is performing as well as I'd hoped it would. That being said, going back and preparing this to posted on GBA, I was, to be honest, a bit nervous as to what the community might say. I'm glad to read the positive replies and comments on the post. I'd found that as soon as you venture down the road to an energy efficient home, the options for heating, insulation, and wall construction could be incredibly overwhelming.
