Taliesin West is getting an energy-efficient retrofit,

Located in Scottsdale, Ariz., Taliesin West currently houses the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation and the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture. Under a project named Energizing Taliesin West, the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation and Big Green Zero, a team of energy engineers and planners, are seeking to reduce the energy use of the historic landmark by outfitting it with more sustainable technologies. The two companies are seeking partnering organizations to donate time and talent. The property is celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2012, and the program is aiming to reduce the facility’s energy bill by more than 50 percent and potentially have it produce as much energy as it uses each year.
