If your first response was "the tap," then you are probably living in a place where fresh, drinkable water is something you have come to see as part of your daily life. Access to water has become something most Americans take for granted, but times are changing. We all saw the tragic contamination of the water supply in Flint, Michigan, we’ve seen continuous drought across the American West and we’re starting to realize the challenges of maintaining and expanding our massive centralized water systems.
